As of vSphere the SC is no longer needed. the kernal takes care of the CHAP auth. which has come to some other problems. if you make a change to the iSCSI target address you will have to disable and re-enable the kernel interface by using the esxcfg-vmknic via the vCLI. not anymore Jonsey.
