Death Guard in 7 easy steps
http://belloflostsouls.blogspot.com/2007/06/tutorial-death-guard-in-7-easy-steps.html
First of all, you cant get a decent result if you don’t have a goal. That goal for me was the image of a “Pre-Heresy Death Guard” from the Index Astartes article in White Dwarf. The overall uniform color is a dirty white with obvious field wear, and medium to dark green trim. The look you are trying to achieve is a slightly “roughed up” feel, so drybrushing will be appropriate, but you should layer on lots of very tight detail work on top of it, to make the final product still have a crisp clean look. The goal is to make the rough white seem “intentionally sloppy” not give the impression that you are a bad painter.
Awesome tutorial, paying special attention to the secret ingredients ie. the Micron .005 black liner is used for all the black lining, with limited use of the FaberCastell brush pens

Update of sorts
It’s been a little while since I have added anything in the way of updates.
The plan, at the moment, is to have the Sisters ready to go for Arcanacon.
Mega kudos goes to Matt (and indirectly Lt. Dan) for killing my hobby void, so expect to see new stuff soon. There are, of course some photos in the CMON link yon rightness, but I will get better photos and stuff!
Hurrah!!

Throwing it out there.
I’m entering the Golden Daemons again this year! My 1337 paintz0r sk1llz0rz will pwn you all!!
Well, probably not, but I’ll give it a red hot go. All I have to do is kill Leigh Carpenter etc. Hmmm, this could be harder than I thought.
Anyway, after way too long behind the brush, I am FINALLY back.
This figure is just sex in metal and comes about for primarily two reasons:
a ) Following a weekend watching a mate finishing up his KF army before his lovely wife gets home!
b ) Checking out another friend’s army at Judgement Day and following a discussion finding out that his termies are ALL done with a standard brush.
So, in that vain I set myself a challenge. Queue up all the Motorhead and Man O War that I could find, grab a standard paint brush and get to it.
So, thanks to both skabradisdead and Badfang, I present The Truthsayer …

The second entry is Crom The Conqueror. This is ANOTHER awesome GW figure that I feel I didn’t do justice to. Y’know those Studio boys really have their shit together!!

The third is secret squirrel …
