[TUTORIAL] Remote desktop via the registry
http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2004/05/04/serverhacks_remote.html
For all those times that I forget to turn on Remote Desktop and then unplug the keyboard and mouse and then isolate the server physically!!
It does require local administrator username/password combination.
Modify HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal ServerÂ
Auto login to XP
Click Start, Run and type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2, and click Ok. Select the user account from the list (the account to which you want to automatically logon). Uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option, and click Ok. Type the user account password and complete the process.
For Windows XP Home, don’t try to auto-login as the built-in Administrator, as you’ll receive an error message.
I keep forgetting how, so there it is. Simple!

For next time I get bored
This cluster was created for Dr. Shin Han Shiu for use decoding plant
genomes and other bioinformatics related tasks.Software:
It runs the Rocks clustering distribution that is based on CentOS (which is based on RedHat Enterprise Linux) and is pretty much a cluster on a disk. It contains ganglia for monitoring, MPI and Sun Grid Engine (SGE) for task queuing, pre-configured kickstart server for painlessly building computing nodes, pre-configured dhcp, nfs and other network services, apache, mysql and just about anything else you will need for a cluster.
