Change service console IP in Vmware ESX 3.5

There are a number of different options for changing the IP address of the service console in Vmware ESX 3.5. Following is another example using the CLI and the esxnet command.

If you did not configure the vswif0 interface properly, for example, the wrong ip address for the Service Console, use the command
esxnet-support rebuild
and it will guide you through the new IP address configuration. Not only that, but it will also update all the necessary file and the new NIC that you link the Service Console too!
